Reasonable Accommodations Optimization
Included below is a snapshot of C5 experience and successes in assisting leading organizations in reasonable accommodation optimization.
Authored and published “Making Reasonable Accommodations Successful” (C5’s proprietary DisabilityIQ Professional Development Course Library).
Led the formation of a centralized reasonable accommodations program and process for an organization with over 10,000 employees. Managed and fulfilled employee, applicant, and customer accommodation requests, including procurement of technology and equipment and coordination with facilities for physical access concerns. This included securing and managing a centralized budget. Hired and managed a supplemental staff of 600 individuals, including those with disabilities and their accommodations, who were assigned throughout the organization. Created and produced an internal video featuring regional executives, employees with disabilities, and their managers, shared annually with all cost center managers.
Provided assistive technology procurement, installation, and training for multiple Federal Government agencies.
Conceived and launched a centralized Reasonable Accommodations Program within a major defense contractor, including a specialized initiative supporting veterans with disabilities. Partnered with consultants to tailor training specifically for this population.
Collaborated with a disability-focused employee resource group (ERG) at a global aerospace and defense company to elevate ERG visibility within DEI efforts, boost self-identification campaign outcomes, and celebrate employee success stories.
Conducted nationwide needs assessments, installations, and training of various assistive technologies—including screen readers, magnification software, TTY software, CCTVs, and speech recognition tools—for employees with disabilities at U.S. federal offices. Training was delivered both one-on-one and in classroom settings.
Delivered similar nationwide assistive technology support services to another major federal agency, customizing training formats to individual and group needs.
Produced and delivered hybrid Disability Inclusion and reasonable accommodations educational sessions to a large financial services company’s disability-focused ERG annually over a three-year period.
Provided customized, EEOC-approved Reasonable Accommodation training across multiple regional sites for a major consumer goods company, training all levels of management.
Developed a comprehensive Reasonable Accommodation Process for a global hospitality organization, including the implementation of required online training for managers and an internal awareness campaign for all employees. Also managed reporting and compliance interfaces with federal oversight bodies and launched a Self-ID process.
Led a global initiative supporting over 100,000 associates and employees across dozens of locations. The program included targeted recruitment, occupational and industry-specific skills training and assessments, and disability awareness education to place people with disabilities into high-demand jobs through a collaborative national employer network.
Created and delivered multiple live webinars on “Making Reasonable Accommodations Successful” as part of a three-year contract, reaching over 100 Fortune 500 clients through a disability employment platform.
