Eduardo Meza-Etienne, ADS, CPACC, MSc, MIM is Chief Accessibility Officer at both C5 Consulting (8 years), and Disability:IN DC Metro (15 years) anda SME and Technical Accessibility Consultant, at Level Access. He serves as C5’s lead representative in the G3ict Collaborative.
Eduardo, a brain injury survivor, has been involved in the accessibility and disabilities field for over 20 years assisting numerous government agencies and Fortune 500 companies to become more inclusive.
He is a skilled technologist, specializing in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) matters, particularly on international accessibility trends, assistive technologies, and legal mandates. He is a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies and Accessible Document Specialist by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals.
Eduardo has worked with Social Security Administration, Internal Revenue Services and Department of Defense and other Federal Government agencies as well as Intergovernmental organizations like The World Bank and state agencies such as Maryland and Philadelphia Vocational Rehabilitation Services training their disabled employees on how to use different types of assistive technologies such as screen readers, magnification and voice recognition software including the use of network based TTY systems, CCTV magnifiers and Braille displays.
He has also consulted with a variety of private sector organizations on how to successfully set up and implement an accessibility program throughout the company, making it part of their corporate DNA.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master’s degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, AZ.
He lives with his wife and two daughters in Frederick County, Maryland.
